This page serves as index page for spoiler-free synopses by story arcs of classic movies and of recent movies that have been critically acclaimed. I'm not going to write movie reviews; there are already tons of movie reviews. I'm going to write spoiler-free synopses by story arcs for the benefit of those who have not yet watched these movies. Part of each synopsis will be (1) an analysis of the movie’s visuals, cinematography, and editing, and (2) links to various resources about the movie.

“Witness” (1985): directed by Peter Weir and starring Harrison Ford, Kelly McGillis, and Lukas Haas, this film went on to become a sleeper hit, grossing over $116 million worldwide.



Some of the classic movies that I will write about are: “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington” (1939); “Meet John Doe” (1941); and “It’s a Wonderful Life” (1946)

Some of the critically acclaimed modern movies that I will to write about are “Dangal” (2016), “CODA” (2021), and those by Kogonada such as “Columbus” (2017) and "After Yang" (2022).
